great people. great companies. great WAYs TO GIVE BACK.

Different people, different jobs and even different departments. What’s the best way to bring everyone together to team build? Get involved in After the Harvest gleaning. From May to November, gleaning brings co-workers out of the office and into the fields and orchards of Kansas City-area growers to rescue fruits and vegetables that might otherwise go to waste.

Whether you’re part of a small company or a large corporation, it’s a great way to get your hands a little dirty at the harvest, breathe fresh country air and work together toward getting healthy food to hungry families, seniors and children.

Let’s talk about how to make your gleaning work for you. Or, if you would like to create a deeper partnership with After the Harvest, scroll down to see all of the ways we can do that. Contact us at 816-921-1903 or info@ath19.bluesym6.work.

LUNCH & LEARN: GET READY TO GLEAN.

We love to share information as much as we do fresh produce. We’ll come to your company with an After the Harvest Lunch & Learn to explain the importance of gleaning and how the hours your team spends will impact our community. It’s also a great time to sign up your team for upcoming gleanings. Let us know when you want to schedule your Lunch & Learn date.

FUNDRAISE FOR YOUR GLEANING.

Engage your whole company–gleaners and non-gleaners alike–to support your scheduled gleaning. Set up a boots-on-the-ground or online fundraiser. Every $500 you raise sponsors another gleaning: from coordinating farmers, agencies and volunteers; supporting upkeep of “The Glean Machine” transport van and harvesting equipment, to keeping the lights on in the After the Harvest office!

Service hours yield great results.

With so many volunteer opportunities available, After the Harvest makes it easy for employees to direct their time and talents to the activities they enjoy most. Whether that’s in the field or project-related, individuals or a whole department, providing ongoing paid service hours enables them to truly make a difference in getting healthy food to hungry people.

“We love your donations. It is so great to be able to provide fresh, healthy produce to our clients. Because we serve the homeless, we have many with health issues, but we also have a limited budget. So, I just thank God for your gifts.”
