ImpactKC awards grant to ATH for innovative barcode scanning system

Impact KC 2022 Finalists -9618

The team at ATH is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a $7,500 grant from ImpactKC for our new barcode scanning system! This grant will help us make a real difference in our work in the Kansas City metropolitan area, and we are incredibly grateful for the generous support.

ImpactKC is a group of philanthropic and civic-minded individuals dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those living in the Kansas City area. ImpactKC’s fund is administered by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, and on an annual basis, typically funds between one and four nonprofit organizations.

Jane Fletcher and Lisa Ousley pitched ATH’s new barcode scanning system to ImpactKC, and won a $7,500 grant that will fund the project.

ATH’s Lisa Ousley and Jane Fletcher had the honor of competing in Impact KC’s Shark Tank event, where finalists present their project ideas to a panel of experts and the members at large. ATH was honored to be chosen as a finalist, and it was an incredible experience to present our project and learn more about all of the amazing organizations making a difference in Kansas City.

Later, Impact KC’s members voted and we were delighted to be chosen as the recipient of the $7,500 grant. In fact, ImpactKC funded all six finalists! This money will help us purchase a barcode scanning system, which will allow us to quickly and accurately track our produce inventory. We can’t wait to put this system into action and make an even greater impact in the community.

We want to thank Impact KC for this generous grant and for their commitment to making the Kansas City area a better place for everyone. We are so thankful for this opportunity and we look forward to continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors.
