Kompass Kapital, Dunn Family Foundation sponsor ATH truckloads program

Every year, more than 50 percent of U.S.-grown produce is wasted before reaching the dinner table. Much of it ends up in landfills, contributing to greenhouse gases. To reduce this waste, we secure semi-truckloads of imperfect produce and ship it to Kansas City, where it is widely distributed by our partner, Harvesters – The Community Food Network. Each truck carries about 40,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables — or more than 160,000 servings — for our hungry neighbors.

As of December 2022, After the Harvest secured 38 truckloads this year. Now, ATH is seeking corporate sponsors to cover the cost of semi-truckloads of healthy, imperfect produce to be shipped to Kansas City. Thanks to our newest sponsors, Kompass Kapital and Dunn Family Foundation, roughly 80,000 pounds of nutritious fruits and vegetables are headed toward our community.
