ATH leadership offers food waste reduction insight at Topeka WORKS Conference

MAY 8, 2022

ATH Executive Director Lisa Ousley was recently a featured speaker at a Kansas Recycling Conference in Topeka in April 2022. The conference focused on all forms of recycling, including the reduction of food waste, and composting and reuse options.

Lisa was able to share the most important alternative to the unnecessary waste of good fresh produce. Redirecting good produce to agencies and food banks is an important tenant of our mission, and one that will continue to take center stage in the future as climate change awareness heightens.
